Jeffrey G. Mathews, graduated from St. Mary’s School of Law in 1999. After law school, he became an Assistant District Attorney with the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office in Brownsville, Texas. In August of 2001, he joined the law firm of Fleming & Hernandez, P.C.,

and worked on bankruptcy cases, commercial litigation, maritime litigation, eminent domain and condemnation, the formation of business entities and the drafting of real estate and commercial acquisition documents. In early 2007, Jeff became a partner in Fleming, Hernandez & Mathews, a Texas General Partnership. In late 2007, the firm was renamed Fleming & Mathews, P.C. and Jeff began offering estate planning, probate and guardianship services to clients in addition to his existing practice areas.

In 2009, the firm became Mathews & Willis, P.C. with Jeff representing medium and small sized businesses in their formation and compliance issues and also their contract negotiations and drafting. Jeff’s practice areas also included commercial transactions, commercial litigation, eminent domain and/or condemnation, real estate documentation preparation and estate planning and probate administration.
